A Huge Thank You to Alex!

I had a wonderful experience at The Marker Hotel, and a big part of that was thanks to Alex, the bar manager. He was incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive throughout my visit. His warm personality and genuine care made me feel very welcome and well looked after. The service was truly exceptional, and it’s clear that Alex takes great pride in what he does. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, always with a smile and such a lovely attitude. People like Alex make a real difference and turn a good experience into a memorable one. Thank you, Alex, for your outstanding hospitality and for making my visit so special. The Marker Hotel is lucky to have someone like you on the team! I would absolutely recommend visiting, and I look forward to coming back again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

    Luxurious stay at the Docklands

This is a beautiful hotel with 5 star-service (think handwritten notes, turn-down service, and chocolates in your room). The location was in the Docklands, which is a revitalized corporate area serving the IT sector. The location would be perfect if that's why you were in town, but it was a brief uber away from more touristy areas of Dublin. Just depends on your reason for being in the city.

    Dangerously easy to return to.

I’ve stayed at Anantara The Marker a number of times over the years, most recently while in Dublin for Design Week, and it remains one of those hotels that is dangerously easy to return to. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are extremely comfortable and the location is excellent - but what really stands out is the service. The staff are consistently warm, friendly and genuinely helpful, and there’s always a great energy about the place. It manages to feel polished and luxurious without becoming overly serious about itself. Nobody makes you feel as though you need to whisper in the lobby or apologise for moving a cushion. From arrival to departure, everything just seems to work - which sounds like a fairly low bar until you stay in enough hotels and realise it absolutely isn’t. The team are attentive without hovering, professional without being robotic, and always seem genuinely pleased to see you. It’s the sort of service that feels effortless, although I’m sure there are a great many people behind the scenes working extremely hard to make it look that way. There’s also a lovely buzz around the hotel. Whether you’re there for work, meeting someone for a drink or recovering from having enjoyed Dublin slightly more enthusiastically than originally planned, it always feels welcoming. Most importantly, it’s consistent. I’ve stayed several times and have always left with the same impression: great hotel, great atmosphere and really lovely people. There are plenty of hotels in Dublin competing for your attention. The Marker has mastered the much more useful trick of making you want to come back. And I will.
