  We Came for Our 40th Birthday, We’ll Remember the People

  My wife and I stayed at AYANA Villas from 13–17 September to celebrate our 40th birthdays, and after coming home and reflecting on our stay, there is one thing that stands out above everything else — the people of AYANA. Of course, AYANA itself is absolutely beautiful. The villas, grounds, pools, restaurants, ocean views and facilities are incredible. But beautiful resorts can be found in many places. What made AYANA so special to us was the people we met during our stay. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and looked after. The level of attentiveness from the staff was something we haven't experienced very often. It wasn't just about responding when we asked for something. There was an awareness of their guests and an attention to detail that is honestly difficult to put into words. Somehow, they seemed to know when you needed something without ever being intrusive. But what we loved most were actually the simple interactions. A conversation during a buggy ride. A chat over breakfast. Talking with someone by the pool, at a restaurant or while having a drink. These might sound like small things, but those conversations felt genuine and meaningful, and they became part of the experience for us. What also really struck us was how happy the staff seemed to be doing what they do. The smiles and conversations never felt scripted or like they were simply part of the job. You could genuinely feel that they enjoyed being there, enjoyed interacting with their guests and took pride in making someone's stay special. There are so many people we would personally like to thank. Cening from the Villas management team, and Agus, Arim, Hendrick, Ricky and Wyasa from the buggy and butler team — thank you for looking after us so well and for all the conversations along the way. At DAVA, Fingki, Anda and Eni made our breakfasts such an enjoyable start to the day. At River Pool, thank you to Satria, Satia and Dyan. At Kampoeng Buffet, Krisden, Risky and Sijanti. Grego at AYANA Farm. Komal Dwak, Komal and Andika at Honzen Teppanyaki. Wisa and Eti at UNIQUE Bar. And Gabriel, Intan and Cantika at Rock Bar. Each of you, in your own way, became part of our memories of this trip. We hope AYANA knows what a wonderful group of people they have representing them. We also have to mention the AYANA app. This was the first time we had experienced something like this during a resort stay, and we thought it was fantastic. For such a large resort with so much to see and do, it made everything incredibly easy and was another example of the thought and attention to detail that seems to run throughout AYANA. We have genuinely tried to think of something we could fault about our stay, and we simply can't. Everything went beyond our expectations. We came to AYANA Villas because we wanted somewhere special to celebrate turning 40. We expected a beautiful villa, wonderful food, amazing pools and those famous Bali sunsets. What we didn't expect was to leave talking so much about the people. To everyone who looked after us during those four days: thank you. Thank you for the conversations, the smiles, the laughs, the small gestures and for making us feel so welcome. You didn't just make our stay special. You became part of the memory of our 40th birthdays, and that's something we will carry with us long after the holiday itself. AYANA is a beautiful place. But for us, it was the people who made it unforgettable. We hope to see you all again. ❤️

  The Royal Treatment! Most beautiful staff in Bali

  This place is heavenly. But it’s the people who work here that make it so special. They are all so welcoming and kind. Every one of them are only too happy to make you comfortable. I felt like the most important person at the resort. We all did. Thank you for fussing over us. Book you buggy rides with Widastra! He’s such a lovely man. Always on time. Explains everything so patiently. He has taken such good care of our family! And Tia at the Spa! Best massage we have had.. ever! Professional, strong, but also listens when you need adjustment and makes every massage perfect to your preference.
