  Spectacular views and exceptional hospitality

  We spent five wonderful nights at Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur and thoroughly enjoyed our stay from beginning to end. As an ALL Platinum member, we received an upgrade to a Sky Suite, which offered spectacular views of the Petronas Twin Towers, KL Tower and Merdeka 118. The suite was beautifully appointed, with a large, extremely comfortable bed and a luxurious bathroom featuring a rainfall shower and bathtub. After spending our days exploring Kuala Lumpur in the heat and humidity, returning to the comfort of our suite was always a pleasure. It really felt like our own little retreat above the city. The hotel’s location was superb, with convenient access to Pavilion shopping mall and the covered walkway connecting to KLCC. This made getting around the city, particularly during the hotter parts of the day, much easier. Breakfast was enjoyable, with a combination of buffet and à la carte options, including local Malaysian dishes. While the buffet selection was perhaps a little limited, the overall breakfast experience was very pleasant. We also visited the rooftop bar one evening to admire the illuminated Kuala Lumpur skyline. The views were lovely, although we were already rather spoilt by the equally impressive views from our own suite! What really stood out throughout our stay was the consistently warm and attentive service. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, welcoming and genuinely helpful, from check-in to the breakfast team each morning and the staff greeting us at the entrance whenever we came and went. This level of hospitality was maintained throughout our five nights and made us feel very welcome. Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur is certainly not an inexpensive hotel, but for us, the quality of the accommodation, the luxurious surroundings and the exceptional service made it well worth the cost. It was a wonderful place to stay and added something special to our time in Kuala Lumpur. We would happily return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay in the city.

  Why or why are Management so inept to the needs of Customers

  From the moment I arrived at floor 1 I felt so unhappy with my decision. Nothing exciting me and sadly the greeting Team did not inspire. Then you arrive at floor 53 and you are meet by individuals who can’t communicate fluently in English. No engagement and the question is should I leave now. First evening I had invited my 6 family members from KL to join me for dinner. They enjoyed it I did not and the primary reason was a lack of training of those serving our meal. The meal was very expensive not the issue it was a lack of customer focus by everyone. Breakfast was good The Japanese experience on floor 53 was so poor and so unauthentic I leave it at that. Went back to floor 57 restaurant for my final dinner out of convenience and again total lack of service quality. Food ok however not value for money. The swimming pool was normal but those with responsible give No consideration to the older user. Access to the pool for older persons requires steps not stairs and without any construction you can have a prefabricated mobile steps installed in one day. Remember we are the clients with money and we need the use of a pool where we get most relief from our aging bones and muscles. Simple!!! Now the reasons why this is so bad. Management and Management of the Management. Those doing the service delivery are only doing what they are trained to do or Not. Check out was a disaster as no phones answered at 5AM.
