Heavenly stay in the Maldives
We are returning from a 10-night stay at the Dhigufaru Island Resort, where to begin...
The breathtaking landscape, the kindness of the staff, there is a lot to say!
We had booked an overwater villa with a pool, it was simply fabulous, we were living in the middle of the fish, we were even able to see a few sharks pass under our room! We could go snorkeling directly from our terrace with private access to the ocean, so many memories!
For those who are hesitating, hesitate no more, go for it and do not hold onto negative reviews regarding the food or the dilapidated state of the accommodations.
Regarding the food, we are used to fine dining and we ate extremely well. You really have to have the palate of a Doberman not to be satisfied with the food offered. Personally in my home, I do not cook 14 hot dishes and 12 different appetizers at every meal... the choice was very varied, the dishes were renewed every day, special mention to the kitchen team who prepared the fish for us that we had caught an hour earlier!
Regarding the age of the facilities, some people should change their glasses, the establishment is extremely clean, I should specify that we lived barefoot in the sand the whole time, which in my opinion represents quite a challenge for the cleaning teams. A big thank you to Jahid, who was very attentive and who has a certain talent for folding napkins :)
We would particularly like to thank Maanu who took very good care of us from the beginning to the end of our stay, he was always available, especially when I had to go to the Kendhoo hospital!
Thank you also to the management for their professionalism!
Regarding the activities, we were lucky to have several included in our stay with Voyage Privé: dolphin cruise, sunset fishing, and a meal in one of the resort's two restaurants, thank you to Sonam for his impeccable service :)
For new arrivals, I would advise booking the manta ray excursion to Hanifaru Bay as soon as you arrive, we were not lucky enough to do it because we tried too late! You can easily book at the Ocean Dimensions school next to the reception.
That will give us a reason to come back :)
