Diamonds Athuruga sits on its own island in the Maldives, reached by seaplane from Malé. Dining spans five restaurants, with guests in the Water Villas taking meals at the over-water Thari at no extra cost, while Farivalhu, Thila and Kakuni carry a charge. Light meals and snacks come complimentary at the Boli Beach Bar.

Seaplane transfer (fine print) - Diamond Athuruga
Diamonds Athuruga island resort is located in the South Ari Atoll and is easily accessible by seaplane. Transfers are operated by Trans Maldivian Airways from Male International Airport, with a flight duration of approximately 25-30 minutes. Please note that a surcharge applies for this service. Seaplane Transfer Rates: Season: 1 (from 01.11.2025 to 15.04.2026) Adult (12 and up): $530.00 (roundtrip) Child ( Below 12 years old): $270.00 (roundtrip) Infants under 2 years – Complimentary provided no seats are required Season: 2 (from 16.04.2026 to 31.10.2026) Adult (12 and up) : $460.00 (roundtrip) Child (Below 12 years old): $230.00 (roundtrip) Infants under 2 years – Complimentary provided no seats are required Seaplane transfers typically operate from sunrise to sunset, which is approximately 7 AM to 3:30 PM Male City time. in order to organize the seaplane transfer, guests must provide their flight details to the property at least 72 hours prior to their expected arrival to email info.diamondsathuruga@planhotel.com The free baggage allowance is 20 kg, plus 5 kg for hand luggage, per person. The carrier will transport excess baggage subject to payload availability at a cost of USD 5.00 plus applicable taxes per kg. Carrier does not guarantee the baggage on the same flight as the passenger. Also subject to payload availability. Our Airport Representatives will then escort to the check-in counter for seaplane transfer and assist with the check-in process. Once the check-in formalities are finished, will be transferred to the seaplane terminal, only a short 5 minutes away.
