    Exceptional experience

An exceptional experience at Diamonds Thudufushi We had an absolutely magnificent stay at Diamonds Thudufushi. From our arrival, we were welcomed with a lot of warmth and professionalism by a smiling, attentive, and always available team. A big thank you especially to Daniel, the manager, for his warm welcome, his kindness, and his attention, as well as to all of his staff who contribute every day to making the guests' stay so pleasant. The setting is simply magical: a paradise island, turquoise water, magnificent beaches, and a total change of scenery. It is a true haven of peace where one can fully enjoy the beauty of the Maldives. We also really appreciated the quality of the restaurants, with varied, tasty, and very well-presented cuisine. Everything is there for an unforgettable stay. We are leaving with very beautiful memories and the desire to return one day to this little corner of paradise. A huge thank you to the entire Diamonds Thudufushi team for this magnificent experience! ❤️🌴☀️

Very beautiful small island with a great house reef.

We have already visited several resorts in the Maldives. Important to us are a beautiful house reef, beautiful beach, bungalows, Maldivian flair, and good food and good drinks. Now for the description of this island. It is a very beautiful island, which is also very well maintained now, if I compare it with older reports. Renovations are constantly taking place all over the island. Our beach bungalow was renovated, painted white, and everything was clean. The grounds are also constantly maintained. There is no trash; even the beach is always swept, and all beach debris is removed every morning. Nature is really taking its toll on the island, and some beach bungalows have already been stripped of their beach. You can no longer walk completely around the island because the beach has simply been washed away. Foundations of bungalows are completely exposed, and boards have been attached to their verandas because water is washed onto the veranda even during larger waves, as we experienced ourselves. The restaurant and the outdoor area of the restaurant are very beautiful, as are the two bars. What we really did not like is the food! This is precisely what is praised a lot, which we cannot understand. The buffet is kept rather small and is nothing compared to the other resorts we have visited so far. What is different here is that for lunch and dinner, three dishes are each decoratively plated, which are then freshly prepared for you. Then you also have the choice between three different pasta dishes. The selection of pre-made salads at the buffet is very limited. The regular salads, too. It is similar with dessert. What disappointed us a lot are the typical Indian dishes that we have always loved in all the resorts. Unfortunately, these are so spicy that I don't think you can enjoy them as a European. Only the lentil dal was prepared more mildly. In the outdoor area, something grilled over charcoal was also offered every day. You would actually think that you could always find something that you like. It was difficult, however. Nothing in comparison to the resorts we have visited in the same price range. The situation with the drinks at the two bars also continues negatively. We tried all the non-alcoholic drinks. Everyone in our group was not satisfied with the quality. The same goes for the alcoholic drinks. They really use the cheapest juice and no A-grade products. No decoration whatsoever, just a slice of orange or lime in the drink. The wines—white, rosé, red—as well as the sparkling wine, were of the simplest quality! Therefore, our rating here is only satisfactory. As we have learned from guests who have visited the resort multiple times, the food has developed negatively compared to previous years. This couple will definitely not visit this resort again. What one should also know is that the resort is a 2-class resort. The Water Bungalows have better drinks and a separate restaurant. We visited this once, as you receive a voucher for a lunch upon arrival. The quality of the food did not convince us there either. Only the wine was better. I find that very unfortunate, because it really is a very beautiful island. Unfortunately not for us! .

A hotel you want to return to

Wonderful hotel, we spent 2 weeks in it, one week in a beach villa and one week in a water villa. The transfer was organized very well, after receiving the baggage, they immediately took us to the seaplane terminal and we flew to the island in 20 minutes. The island is small, but very cozy. The rooms are bright, clean, and have everything you need, including a coffee machine. The minibar is included, and on water villas, an additional bottle of red and white wine is included. I really liked the nutrition concept. I won't say there's a big selection, but there is, everything is tasty and varied. The water restaurant was not impressive, I think it's not worth visiting for extra money. I would like to suggest changing the breakfast concept a little. It's not very convenient, for example, when the chef boils an egg for you specifically. Boiled eggs and omelets can be prepared in advance. But these little things do not affect the overall rating of the hotel in any way. If there is a good price offer, we will definitely come back again.
