  An enchanting island from every point of view

  The island is truly beautiful; after 8 times in the Maldives, I feel like saying that this is definitely the best one I have been to. The Beach villas are delightful, very large and comfortable, 10 meters from a spectacular lagoon with incredible colors. The staff is very kind (a special thanks to Mr. Giorgio, the very helpful and kind resort manager, and to Mac, an exceptional dive guide); the food is very good, but above all, you can really be at peace and enjoy the green nature of the island without noisy and intrusive entertainers attacking you. A special mention for those who, like me, love diving and snorkeling: here you really see everything—sharks, manta rays, huge schools of trevally and very colorful fish, eagle rays (we saw a group of 18), very large stingrays, dolphins even while diving, turtles galore, and all this even just by snorkeling. Rating 10 because you can't give more... I am already thinking about returning in March. Wonderful island, truly.

  Vacation with cockroaches

  We chose Ganghei Island to experience a dream vacation in the Maldives, and from many points of view, the resort is truly wonderful. The island is beautiful, the coral reef is rich in life and easily accessible, the sea is spectacular, and the staff has always been kind and helpful. We noticed that some loungers on the beach need to be renewed and that the buffet tends to be quite repetitive during long stays. However, for us, these aspects did not represent a real problem and did not affect our overall judgment of the facility. Unfortunately, however, our experience was severely compromised by a problem that we cannot ignore: the constant presence of cockroaches in the rooms. The problem occurred both in our room and in our children's room. After our reports, we were transferred to a water villa, but even there we continued to find cockroaches practically every day, on the beds, in the bathrooms, everywhere, and not just at night. We understand that one is on a tropical island, but the frequency with which the problem occurred prevented us from relaxing and enjoying the vacation peacefully. Every evening we entered the room with the fear of finding more, and this inevitably affected our stay. It is a real shame because the sea, the coral reef, and the beauty of the island truly deserve it. If it weren't for this problem, our judgment would have been very different. Unfortunately, the continuous presence of cockroaches in the accommodations ended up ruining what could have been a perfect vacation.
