    Great! We will be back

Super service, a great retreat in the hustle and bustle, the staff fulfills every wish, very clean and well-maintained grounds and rooms, food very good

    Poorly maintained & dirty room.

Very poorly maintained and very dirty room. Dust and bathroom was full of mold everywhere. The room didn't smell good. Was a family room but baby couldn't crawl through the floor which was dirty. Very unfortunate because based on Tripadvisor I booked, but the experience was bad. After the first night we saw blood stains in two blankets, but that was not changed by the cleaning. Staff incidentally is top! Very friendly and helpful.

    Ignored my constructive feedback.

The below email was sent to the hotel the day of departure, still no response. Disappointed. I stayed at the Golden Tulip on the 1st of August and wanted to share some feedback. Overall the staff were fantastic, and a couple of individuals in particular really stood out in resolving issues on the spot. However, there were a few recurring communication and systems issues that I think are worth flagging. Check-in was smooth and clearly explained. I was also told about the beer garden at check-in, which was great, but when I mentioned it to other staff around the hotel, nobody else seemed aware of it. I was also upgraded to a great room, which was much appreciated. On towels, I was told at check-in that they’d be brought up later, and they were – handled efficiently and with a friendly attitude. I was, however, disappointed to be told I couldn’t use the pool when I arrived, as it was being used for a function. I don’t think it’s right that guests should be turned away from the pool for this reason, and I’d appreciate it if this could be looked at. Separately, the communication around the breakfast pricing could have been a bit clearer, i was told one price and then it ended up being a higher price. When I did visit the beer garden, the welcome was excellent. I ordered a drink, then a second one that took a long time to arrive. I mentioned this to the manager in charge, who got it sorted immediately – much appreciated. Because of the wait, I asked for the bill early, but had to ask three times; it turned out the system meant the bill had to come from the bar, so I ended up going to the bar myself to pay. After paying, I decided to order another drink at the lounge bar. After waiting five minutes with no sign of it, I was told it was coming from the beer garden, which was frustrating, so I cancelled it. Another staff member then stepped in and got the order sorted. This system was so not customer friendly and just caused frustration. This morning, music was playing loudly just after 6:30am, followed by a microphone being used after 8am. I wanted to raise these points constructively, as the staff I dealt with were genuinely excellent and clearly did their best within a system that let them down at times.
