    First impression in Uzbekistan

Start of our family trip in Uzbekistan, I recommend it 100%. Very large family room (is actually an apartment with two bathrooms), clean and very well equipped. The standard is even higher than several hotel chains of the same level in Europe. The staff is very welcoming and available and the breakfast is superb! Unfortunately we were not able to test the wellness area, we will do it if we ever have the opportunity to return to this wonderful country!

Comfortable rooms and welcoming staff. Disappointing spa facilities.

What I liked: The room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean, and the bathroom was large, modern, and beautifully designed. I would also like to thank the hotel for accommodating my early check-in request for only half of the daily rate. After a long international journey, this made a huge difference, and I really appreciated the flexibility. The breakfast was good, with a reasonable selection of food, although I wouldn't describe it as exceptional. Finally, I would like to highlight the friendliness and politeness of all the staff. From the moment I arrived until I checked out, everyone was welcoming and always willing to help. What I didn't like: I chose the Grand Dior mainly because of its wellness facilities, including the spa, hammam, sauna, swimming pool, and massage services. Before making my reservation, asked about the massages, and they kindly sent me a price list with the different treatments available. This was one of the main reasons I booked this hotel. The day before my arrival, I requested an early check-in and asked to book a massage for the following day. To my surprise, I was told by email that the hotel did not offer massage services. This was disappointing, especially considering the information I had received before making my reservation. When I visited the spa, I was even more disappointed. The hammam and sauna were unavailable, and parts of the swimming pool were still unfinished. The area did not feel like a spa or a wellness centre at all, which was unfortunate, as it had been one of the main reasons for choosing this hotel. Although the staff were always kind and eager to help, it was clear that many team members are still inexperienced and would benefit from additional training. As this is a relatively new hotel, there is still room for improvement and I hope the facilities and service will soon match the standard that is advertised. But, they have a long way to go.
