  An unforgettable vacation!

  After an intense year of work, we decided to treat ourselves to a nice vacation on the island of La Maddalena. My girlfriend and I did extensive research and ultimately chose the Grand Hotel Ma&Ma. There was never a better choice! From the moment we booked over the phone, we were guided and accompanied by the kindness of Fabrizio, who explained all the numerous offers that the property makes available and satisfied every one of our requests. The hotel is simply stunning! Attended to in every detail, elegant, very large, it offers multiple services such as, for example, a restaurant, bar, pool, gym, spa, relaxation areas, a very large garden with lounge chairs and a viewpoint. The cuisine is excellent and sophisticated; you can perceive the great commitment of the chef. You feel at home, and every guest has the possibility to relax while also enjoying great privacy and extreme courtesy from the staff. And here it is truly necessary to mention the great humanity, friendliness, and professionalism of the wonderful people who work at the Ma&Ma. A huge thank you to Anna, Stefano, Antonio, Marco, Samuele, and all the dining room staff who literally take care of pampering the guests every day. Always very attentive, kind, and ready to do their best to be able to satisfy every request. They (along with the entire staff) in our opinion represent that unparalleled strength that Ma&Ma offers, because it makes the guest feel at home, as if they were with family. The human warmth we received during our vacation is indescribable and it is this peculiarity that makes us want to return soon. Wonderful people, who every day have the goal of making the hotel guest feel good and pampered. We must also dutifully thank Rossella and all the housekeepers who daily clean and tidy the rooms impeccably, with great attention to detail, courtesy, and kindness. A big thank you also to the young women and men at the reception who, with extreme kindness and professionalism, satisfied our every request and provided us with complete assistance on everything. Finally, we cannot fail to mention the beach club, which is truly unique. We thank Bianca, Miriam, and the entire beach club staff who, with their work, offer customers the opportunity to spend memorable days and to enjoy excellent and fresh drinks and food. This is what you will find at Ma&Ma. At the end of the vacation, we brought home a suitcase full of beautiful moments, precious memories, and so much happiness, along with... a great desire to return!

  Disappointing. More like 3.5 stars.

  Not a 5-star at all. I would say 3.5. It is more of a village containing only residences. With housekeeping included. The bathroom smelled like pee twice (ground floor) and they emptied the septic tank as a result... Eating there is complicated because there is little choice and it is expensive but edible- next to the pool or beach club. The restaurant is really not good. Really. There were three of us with three different dishes and none of the three of us could eat more than two bites. We had the impression that it was interns who were cooking. The bar is closed during the day so if you want to have a drink in the cool it is impossible. It seems like we are bothering the staff at the front desk. Greeted by sighs. The housekeeping staff is nice but they are everywhere, with their carts, all the time. I have never seen a hallway without a housekeeping cart. Long hallways. Impersonal, cold. No soul. You need a car to go to town. The town is cute. Small. The hotel beach is rocks with black lounge chairs that absorb the sun and have no shade, or white paid ones with stifling curtains to get a little shade. 100 euros each time. There are lounge chairs in the hotel garden near the pool, but do not put your belongings on the ground because you will pick up millions of ants. The only shady spot is where you can eat (4 small tables). The spa is nice but ordinary. The pizzeria was not open the 1st week of our stay (nor in July apparently) and opened the 2nd week. Ordinary. The bed slanted to one side and we had to sleep together on one side of the bed. There is a parking lot. Good breakfast. I will not return.

  Best valued hotel on the island hands-down .

  This place is a total value just great staff hospitality was amazing . The beach is completely tranquil. You may have to deal with a few rocks in the ocean however, if you purchase water shoes, you will experience tranquility at the next level. Can't say enough about this place. Nine out of 10. Breakfast was below average, but that is the only deficiency.
