A two-tiered infinity pool holds the middle of the day, and a whirlpool built into the rocks that shape the bay draws people at sunset. Rooms lean on contemporary design and Mexican craft pieces rather than resort gloss, and the restaurant works in ceviche and Mexican cooking. There is a small spa, seaside yoga, and a PADI diving hut for those who came for the water. The airport terminal is roughly eight minutes' drive, with the town of Cozumel about half an hour away.
