Overview

Hôtel La Chaudanne sits in the centre of Méribel, at the foot of the slopes that open into the 3 Vallées. It has been run by the Dallery family since the resort's earliest days, and that long tenure shows in the register of the place, warm woodwork and an easy, lived-in alpine feel rather than showroom polish. Dining runs from Le 80, the hotel brasserie, up to L'Ekrin, the Michelin-starred…

Very comfortable and close to lifts

Staff are friendly and very helpful, our room was very clean and comfortable with a bonus nice view and little balcony, you can leave your skies and boots across the road at the ski hire store for easy access, we used the sauna and pool and had a dinner in the restaurant which was very good. Breakfast has all the favorites, eggs bacon sausages, fruits, cereals, yogurts and pastries all were great. The hotel location is a 5min walk to the lifts, and is the heart of the village shops

    Avoid this hotel

Shocking service, rude staff, totally over priced, restaurant food is average at best, and obscenely over priced. Guests allowed to vape in bar area despite no vaping regulations. One onto worst ski holidays we have had in years.

Worth staying at La Chaudanne as concierge Amber is FANTASTIC!!

We spent our skiing week between Christmas and New Year with our two sons 15 and 19 at La Chaudanne. The hotel is very central and there is also a very good vibe in the hotel. The concierge Amber/Ambra is a truly passionate, hardworking, helpful and friendly person who really made a difference with our stay. She managed to book us all the restaurants (even last minute during the busiest week) and even though we changed our plans a 100 times she always welcomed us with a smile 😃 Thank you Amber x The breakfast was very good too. Very helpful waiters and waitresses. The spa was plus and their treatments are worth a try. The Nuxe products given during turn down were a special treat. Housekeeping was so and so. They did not always replace the missing products though when we called reception they always accommodated us. Our rooms were small. Expected bigger rooms however we had a lovely holiday. Thank you 🙏
