  Great hotel with a good restaurant & bar area

  A really great hotel with a beautiful lobby, a good bar, plenty of seating, a terrace, and in a good location. We had the standard Arven room, which was very comfortably furnished. Enough space and storage options, nice bathroom, small balcony with a great view. The staff was always super friendly and helpful. The dinner was very delicious, only the portions were really too small. The breakfast offers sufficient variety. It was wonderful to listen to the pianist for a while in the evening :-) The wellness area is clean and the outdoor pool is great for relaxing. We did not use the sauna and other facilities.

  Great location by the lake, excellent food including breakfast.

  The hotel has a great location, and if you book a room with a lake view, it is even more beautiful. The rooms are practically furnished. I got an older one, while my colleagues got a partially newly renovated room. There is a good wellness area, also with an outdoor pool including loungers. Furthermore, you can go directly swimming in the lake. There are free SUPs, etc. The food is really very good! The service could be a bit better. All employees are very friendly, but some do not understand/speak German or English. The house also misses out on some additional sales; we would have liked to consume more, but no one was there to ask us. The breakfast buffet is great and leaves nothing to be desired, truly excellent! I only slept with the balcony door open because it was too warm. There is neither air conditioning nor any other device for cooling down. The bed was much too hard for me. I thought it was sagging (old mattress) and you can feel the wooden base. My colleagues in the renovated rooms had the same problem, however. So it is probably the type of bed. (that's why I wouldn't come back, because I can't find restful sleep) If you do not have sleep problems with hard beds, the hotel is absolutely recommendable. Thank you very much!

  We - three friends - checked into Hotel Alexander and felt very welcomed from the first moment. The friendliness of the staff at the reception as well as in the restaurant was amazing, and the service was absolutely superb. While organizing our planned excursions, we received full support, and with the Lucerne Travel Pass, we were very well advised and served. The breakfast was first-class. The view from the pool or the balcony of the Alps is breathtaking.
