Overview

Set above the beach at Agios Ioannis, Katikies Mykonos looks out over water that seems close enough to touch. A member of the Leading Hotels of the World, it holds to an easy, chic register of seaside living, with the shimmer of the Aegean never far from view. Mykonos town lies about 20 minutes' drive away, and the nearest helicopter landing at Psarou is roughly 12 minutes off.

Beautiful property with a view to remember!

Celebrated my husband's 60th birthday here. What a beautiful property! Room was beautiful! Athena showed us the property and she was so welcoming and a pleasure to get to know her. The view of the sea was just glorious! Easy transportation to Mykonos Town by bus down the road.

A Beautiful and Memorable Stay in Mykonos Katikies Mykonos was our favorite hotel stay during our first trip to Greece.

A Beautiful and Memorable Stay in Mykonos Katikies Mykonos was our favorite hotel stay during our first trip to Greece. The property is absolutely beautiful, our suite was stunning, and above all, the team made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. As Leaders Club members, we really appreciated the room upgrade and late check-out. The team was incredibly responsive, especially via WhatsApp, and always happy to provide recommendations or help with anything we needed. We were also celebrating my fiancé’s 40th birthday, and the birthday cake and champagne waiting for us were such thoughtful touches. It’s those little details that made the stay feel especially memorable. There were a few hiccups. At check-in, there was initially some confusion because our points redemption wasn’t showing and we were told we would need to pay the cash rate. Thankfully, they allowed us to check in while the team contacted billing and management, and everything was resolved the following day. We also found ants around our welcome amenities and treats, but the response was immediate—they sent someone to address the issue and replaced all of the amenities. The TV placement in our suite was a little unusual as it faced the entrance rather than the bed, but that was a relatively minor inconvenience. Breakfast was probably the one area where we felt there was room for improvement, as the selection was quite limited compared with what we expected. There was also some confusion around what was included in our Leaders Club benefits; we weren’t informed that soft drinks were included and ended up being charged €7 for one. Clearer communication around the inclusions would have been helpful. That said, none of these things overshadowed our experience. What we will remember most is the beautiful suite, the views and atmosphere, and especially the warmth and responsiveness of the team. We truly appreciated the effort they made to make our stay—and such an important birthday—feel special. A wonderful introduction to Mykonos and easily one of the highlights of our Greece trip. We would happily return.

    Terrible experience

I stayed at Katikies Mykonos for 2 nights, I chose the hotel for the concept, exclusivity, and impeccable quality. But what I experienced was the saddest disappointment. Upon arrival, my staff was very kind, attentive, and dedicated. During the stay, I observed strange details for a hotel like Katikies, employees don't make eye contact, they are impersonal, stiff, and artificial. At breakfast, they make faces like someone who is not satisfied with the job done, nothing friendly. During dinner on the first night of my stay, I observed staff jumping and hugging in the pool area; those who seek this type of hotel prioritize silence and peace. But the final one was when leaving the hotel, I checked out, paid for the consumption (dinner on the first night) and the island fees. I stayed 40 minutes after check-out sitting at the reception waiting to leave. On the way to the new hotel, I receive a message that I didn't pay for a Belvedere. I didn't even know what Belvedere was. I asked what it was and they told me it was vodka; I informed them that I did not consume it, that my only consumption was water, and that they should not charge, but the employee insisted on the consumption. Apparently the hotel has a very serious problem with its staff.
