Overview

In the village of Alagna Valsesia, at the base of Monte Rosa, this hotel sits among the mountains and within easy reach of the trails, slopes and higher Alps beyond. Its architecture reads as a modern take on the local Walser tradition, built with natural wood and wide floor-to-ceiling windows that draw the mountains inside. The design is eco-conscious, intended to settle into rather than stand apart from its setting…

    Beautiful Valsesia and Mirtillo Rosso

We stayed at the Mirtillo Rosso at the beginning of September and overall the experience was very positive. The property is really cute and welcoming, with attention to detail. Spacious and well-organized rooms. The pools and spa are cute, conceptually the adult spa lacks the South Tyrolean philosophy, too bad!!! A great strong point was the staff, always extremely helpful, kind and ready to satisfy our every request, Fabrizio, Marco, Giorgia, Inaki, Lorenzo, Samuel and all the others, thank youuu! -A piece of advice regardless!...always smile and look up.- A note of merit also for the excursions organized by the hotel and the rafting for the kids: really excellent, well-planned and perfect for discovering the area, Gabriele is really a prepared, helpful and empathetic guy, compliments!!! As for the dining, the food is good, the first courses are excellent, and the main courses satisfied us. The only less positive note is the choice of desserts: it was not satisfactory and we expected a little more variety and quality in this department. Like the very scarce presence of cheeses, a serious matter in the mountains, unless paid for as an extra. Excellent water always available at the internal fountain, sparkling and still at zero cost. Goodbye 🙏

    Top!

Everything perfect, from the staff to the room, from the super menus to the spa and the guided trips by Davide and Gabriele! Third time here, never a regret!!!

Great courtesy in a postcard setting

I must admit that we were a bit worried because this hotel presents itself as a family hotel, and being a couple looking for a relaxing stay, we were afraid of feeling out of place. Instead, we had a great time: the staff is commendably courteous, made us feel welcome, and tried to respond to all our requests. The hotel is truly a beautiful property, not far (it must be a 5-minute walk) from the center of Riva as well. The restaurant was a good restaurant and the service was fast. Only two flaws: the bathroom should have a little more space for setting things down and for hanging things (there is nowhere to hang the towels!!!) and the pool (the adult one separated from the children's one) is a bit small (even if the fact that it also opens to the outside makes it very pleasant).

Good to know
