  **Review** *Far more than we expected – a hotel with heart*

  Our first road trip to Italy took us to the Park Hotel Casimiro in San Felice del Benaco, and we can only say this: our expectations were far exceeded by the country, the people, and above all the staff. It started with a last-minute booking. In our rush we booked the wrong room type, and with two small children we were quite worried we'd end up in a room that was too small. At reception we were proven wonderfully wrong: the reception manager gave us a much larger room, and even though we arrived three hours before the official check-in time, we were allowed to move in right away. With tired toddlers in the car, that is worth its weight in gold. We were speechless. That warm welcome was no coincidence — it runs through the entire house. Every single staff member brings their own story with them, and every one of them does their job with real dedication. From the very first moment you feel that spirited Italian way of life, combined with genuine care and warmth. Exactly what we had been longing for. The grounds are in excellent condition. Spotlessly cleaned rooms every day, a pool already freshly maintained in the early morning, beautifully kept green lawns. There are enough pools and sun loungers that you never have to fight for a spot. The location right by the lake with a view over the bay is stunning, and the paths are easy to manage with a stroller. A drink in the sun is of course a must. Time and again we ended up chatting with the staff while enjoying one, and they helped us plan our day trips with honest, practical advice — from ferry connections to which towns are actually worth visiting with young children. The food is simply an art form. Everything beautifully presented, fresh, and genuinely delicious, with plenty of choice for the little ones too. A special thank you to all the helpers in service and especially to the kitchen team, who spoiled us day after day. For us this stay felt like a five-star experience. The value for money is outstanding, and as a family we felt welcome and well looked after at every single moment. We will be back. Grazie di cuore to the entire team! Roman and family, Germany

  A wonderful week at Park Hotel Casimiro

  We have recently return from a week's stay Casimiro, two familes of four with adult children and we had a really lovey time. The hotel's lakeside/mountain view and closeness to the lake is outstanding. We went on boat trips to other towns on Lake Garda and the Casimiro's location with beach access is unbeaten. The village is small and quiet which suited us but if you want a more vigrous night life you would want to hire bikes, mopeds or a car as public transport finishes early. Our rooms were clean with ourstanding views and the staff were great. We stayine half board and breakfast and dinner were both lovey. The lakeside bar is outstanding and reasonaly priced.

  Don’t have a superior room.

  Myself and my friend booked separate packages same day with Tui. 2 solo rooms. I had to pay £65 for a superior room as only 2 rooms available for single occupancy. My friend had a deluxe. We arrived at the hotel given our rooms. My friends room was lovely room 1312. Free safe. Veiws of pool and sea I was taken to the back of the building to a superior room along a dirty carpet to a sea view room. I was very upset it was so basic and dated. It had 2 single beds a ball to sit on and a deckchair. A safe you had to pay €10 euros and a wardrobe no door. Room 1411. I complained to reception asking why did I pay extra £65 for a basic room. Can I downgrade to the same room as my friend. Reception manager offered to move me the day after up a floor. I stated no I don’t want another basic room. For what I paid.They eventually give me a deluxe room. No refund for downgrading. Hotel was spotless rooms spotless.Lovely staff but bit of language barrier with English. You get 2 bottles of water in the fridge free no more. €8 for a bottle with your meal. (Bit overpriced) €2 at the bar a small bottle. No shop close to get supplies if needed. You have to go on the ferry which is walking distance from hotel to go to a number of places. 3 restaurants if you wanted a change. You can walk to salo on a footpath along a road. 35mins. Beautiful 25 metre pool if your a swimmer. Pool towels free at reception. Food was good. But set meals just ok. On half board. Can’t get a hot coffee anywhere it’s all in flasks. However much you asked for hot coffee. Your room is the best place. Apart from the room I had a lovely relaxing holiday the sea bar has lovely views. I complained to Tui about the room. They rang me and said I should have rang them day 1 of my holiday so I cannot claim my extra £65 I paid. The TUI representative did not turn up either who I waiting for to say about the room. No kettle tea coffee in superior room either. 2 paper cups
