    Ageing

    The hotel has come of age, the beauty of the decor is crumbling! The beds could use new mattresses. Broken curtains are a NoGo for a 5-star hotel! Through div. Events the environment is noisy and does not invite you to relax. Breakfast is fine for a 5-star hotel! No air conditioning in the room is not a plus on hot days.

    Beautiful hotel is wonderful setting

    We had a wonderful experience at this beautiful hotel. From the moment you drive up to it your’e transfixed the setting on the lake and next to the park is lovely. We stayed for 2 nights with our 2 dogs. We had booked a room with a view of the lake although quite small it had everything you needed. It was decorated in a classic style and was clean and fresh. There was even a dog bed and the biggest water bowls ever! The ability to sit on the balcony and ponder your thoughts was great. We ate in the restaurant on both evening once inside and once on the terrace. On both occasions the food was outstanding and the attention given by the staff was perfect. The spa area is well presented and the ability to have a swim outdoors was wonderful especially given the high temperatures. The hotel is located on the outskirts of the city so about a 30 minute walk to the river area. Although Bremen was nice it is not a city we would rush back to although another visit to this beautiful hotel can’t be ruled out.
