Overview

Pita Maha Resort & Spa sits along a hillside above the Tjampuhan ridge, its twenty-four private villas arranged in the manner of a Balinese village. This is a small, elegant retreat that draws its character from local tradition, minutes from central Ubud. The name reaches back to the artistic association that nurtured creative talent in the 1930s, and Pita Maha, meaning great shining, carries that legacy forward. The airport lies…

    A place to feel good

Upon our arrival at the Pita Maha, we were welcomed warmly and with a wonderful feeling. This warmth accompanied us throughout our entire stay. The entire team is incredibly attentive, loving, and accommodating – you feel completely cared for and simply comfortable. We were particularly impressed by how attentively personal requests are handled. The kitchen is informed about allergies, intolerances, and personal dislikes throughout the entire stay. It is not just taken into consideration – you really get what your heart desires. This extraordinary attention and personal service made our stay something very special. The rooms are also very clean and well-maintained. The entire team makes the greatest effort at all times to create a pleasant and warm atmosphere of well-being. You simply notice that hospitality here is not just a word, but is truly lived. The atmosphere of the hotel is wonderfully quiet, warm, and full of Balinese hospitality. It is hard for us to leave this beautiful place again. Since we still want to go to the sea on our trip, we unfortunately have to say goodbye tomorrow. Otherwise, we would have very, very much liked to stay longer. Many thanks to the entire team for this wonderful time, the loving care, and the many little attentions! We would love to come back.

    More than just a hotel

We had an absolutely wonderful stay and cannot recommend thus hotel highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel genuinely welcome and valued. The hotel itself was beautiful, but it was the staff who truly made our experience special. Every member of the team was friendly, attentive, and always willing to go tgat extra mile. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their kindness and dedication made our first stay in Bali unforgettable. We left with wonderful memories and would not hesitate to return.

    Beauty and chicness

During our trip to Bali, we visited 3 hotels. And this was our first and best hotel. We were there with my husband from July 24th to 29th. Villa with a pool No. 206. Pros: Awesome welcome drinks upon arrival. No deposit. Beautiful and large villa with a pool. Bathtub and shower in the open air (like in the Maldives). Excellent room and bathroom amenities (robe, comfortable slippers, fruits and aromatic sticks as a complimentary gift, mosquito repellent, minibar free once upon check-in, comb, toothbrushes and toothpaste, shaving kit, and much more). Kettle and coffee machine. Very attentive staff. Beautiful national costumes of the hotel staff. Room cleaning twice a day. Excellent hotel location. At the exit, there are exchangers on both sides, there are many cafes nearby, and all the sights are not far away. We saw squirrels, bats, and some exotic bird. Monkeys were not seen. A gift was made upon departure (2 saris). Very nice. Disadvantages: The water in the pool at the villa was cold. During our stay, there was rain every day (but that's not the hotel's problem). They bring very bad tea to the room, although the restaurant has packets of different "good" tea. Sometimes tea, coffee, and sugar were not delivered during room cleaning. Nothing works on TV except YouTube (don't watch movies). The sound is good with neighboring villas (but that depends on the neighbors). The doors of the toilet and bathroom squeak in the room, the ceiling fan squeaks. The hotel has many cool stairs (bad for those with sore legs or elderly people). Conclusion: I can confidently recommend this hotel. Especially for those who value tranquility, aesthetics, and beauty around them. A very soulful hotel.
