Overview

A nineteenth-century merchant tenement, carefully restored, sits below Wawel Hill on the line between the Old Town and the Kazimierz district. The building keeps its period character while the interiors have been reworked with a contemporary hand. The airport is roughly ten minutes' drive, and the centre of Krakow about seven.

    Very silent rooms

Queen Boutique Hotel Krakow. Stay from 30.08.2026 to 04.09.2026. Deluxe room choice for 2 people, single occupancy. I chose this room for the view of the garden, and especially the acceptable size of the balcony/terrace. I was already checked in online, so upon arrival just take the keys and you can settle in. Prior to confirming the reservation, written consent is requested regarding the credit card, to obtain the amount of 1 night's stay one week before arrival and use it as a deposit. Had no problem with it. The room was clean and quite spacious. Shower cabin on the small side, bed and terrace okay. Big screen smart TV and cozy corner for 2. Give an explanation of how television works and where the transmitters are located. The downside is that there is no slider to be found anywhere. Nothing in the bathroom regarding drawers. The nightstands are 2 modern round tables and the desk has the same problem, no drawers. All the things that are not needed continuously must be put/placed somewhere on top. Either store everything in the wardrobe that is definitely not ideal. The concept is kissed if you indicate it via the reception or a clean my room sign. Not done. Not okay for 4 stars! If you don't, you will only take the third day of your stay on your own initiative. For a 4-star hotel that tries to maintain a high standard, a very strange reasoning. Men does not have to do the full quiz every day. What you can expect at a 4-star hotel, with the corresponding price range, is that at least the most fundamental things are done. As there are. Tidy up the bed and possibly repaint the walls. Bathroom, check towels. It is common, the towel does not need to be changed hanging up. Is he on the ground, please translate. Emptying the trash can. Refilling coffee pads, sugar, and milk, where in other 4-star hotels I even get a cookie with my coffee. I am not lazy, but for over €200 per night for myself (including "limited" breakfast), I can expect the room to be checked, the bed made, and towels changed. Bathroom amenities very limited. No earplugs and a small half-filled bottle of conditioner, which was empty after one wash of my hair. There is the rule again, ask the reception if necessary. Conclusion. General lack of attention to detail. So I had a bathrobe whose one belt loop was broken and not repaired. Same for the reception. The absolute must is there, READ and follow your email traffic. I had asked for a pickup upon arrival at the airport, but they asked for the flight details which I naturally emailed, but apparently this was not followed up on. Another email requesting the minibar to be emptied so I could have space for certain medication, it didn't happen. More even. One of the receptionists claimed not to have received an email. I had a delivery report and the status was indeed sent. The breakfast was enough for me, but I just read that you have to pay extra for extras that are self-evident in other hotels of this level. A man keeps offering a card. My thought was that this was done for logistical reasons, e.g., lack of space. I did see a few containers, aimed at a typical English breakfast, such as baked beans etc. I haven't seen a mirror or something else warm like, for example, a pancake. Apparently this "new" way of working was introduced on August 1, 2026. As a saving I would agree with this, also a defect. But, you sell the rooms including breakfast, so it is not okay to charge extra later. Further very solid espresso machine, looks quite new, but extremely slow. Polite staff, but distant. Furthermore, the rooms were very well insulated. No noise from neighbors or upstairs/downstairs neighbors. The restaurant itself has been elevated to a higher level. However, I am a small eater, but I understand that most people will ask for a side dish. Either one must take the tasting menu. As for à la carte, limited choice. Presentation is okay, but I think more time is spent on the dressing than on the cooking itself. I rated it 3 stars, but 3.5 would be better. Will I come back? Maybe, but first compare what other hotels offer. Kind regards. Ms. C. Ost, Belgium

Everything is great and thank you very much!

The hotel atmosphere was actually very pleasant, the staff was polite and always happy to help with any request. The breakfast was varied and the quality of the food was very good. Our room was very well maintained and the cleanliness was top-notch. The Old Town of Krakow and the castle are within walking distance in a few minutes.
