Overview

The Rio Othon Palace opens directly onto Copacabana, that curve of sand and sea that has become one of Rio's most recognised images. Positive complaint

Our first check-in for our first 6-night stay was unfortunately very disappointing. Upon our arrival, the reception was not up to par and the room we were assigned was in an absolutely unacceptable state of cleanliness. A room this dirty should simply not be offered to tourists, especially in an establishment of this caliber. However, I would like to sincerely thank the lady, of a certain age, at the front desk, who took the time to listen to us and offered us a room upgrade. Her gesture really made the difference and encouraged us to extend our stay by 5 more nights (11 nights). On the other hand, the Othon Palace must imperatively review its standards (classic room but CLEAN) and its room inspection process. This level of dirt is not acceptable and should not be tolerated
