Between May and September an outdoor pool and a broad sunbathing lawn come into use. Days can be as active or as still as you like, with a daily program, personal training on request and racing bicycles to rent. The kitchen has built its reputation on regional cooking and meat from the hotel's own butcher, served in the historic rooms or out in the garden, and there is a bar with its own fireplace for later. Parking in the garage is free, and Salzburg airport sits about 12 minutes away by car.

Oasis of comfort
What an oasis of comfort in these times! The whole house radiates a tranquility that one can only wish for as a guest. In the middle of small Elixhausen, just a few shuttle or bus minutes away from Salzburg or by the hotel's own e-bikes to one of the romantic Trummer lakes with its rustic inns of the best quality. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The beds are particularly noteworthy and deserve the highest praise. For us, the absolute highlight is the breakfast: the shady courtyard for it in summer could not be more beautiful, the many employees are all very quick and friendly. The buffet impresses with oven-fresh rolls, a nice selection of whole-grain and multi-grain breads, ham & bacon from the "in-house" village butcher Baischer, Meinl Trieste Mornings coffee, fine desserts, and an "egg chef" who really fulfills all, even the most unusual, wishes with a smile and the highest quality. Not to mention an immensely large selection of daily newspapers, which extends the morning stay there even further... Only the spreads could be better; but that is certainly a subjective opinion. The spa with a mega view needs no words, and the dinner as part of the half-board was also very appealing; including the wine list, which has one or two surprises in store.
