  Seig entrecote and bad breakfast

  We went on holiday in the “nearby” area and visited the Kistefos Museum on the day of arrival. Had pre-ordered 3 dishes dinner and looked forward to it. Be hungry after many experiences at Kistefos. Checked in the room and it was ok. So I went to eat. Good luck. Then got a tough edition of entrecote. What was edible only tasted good. So a totally ok dessert. Slept well and went to eat breakfast. I've been traveling for work for many years. But this is the worst breakfast buffet I've ever experienced. When we got there it was bad with bread, 3 slices of bacon left, only eggshell. Very little left or empty for commission. A small plus for local food. Think about local cheese. But where was the cookie? Ok that there are vacation times etc but is probably someone who travels in everyday life who have with family on a trip. When that is said. July is a holiday month for many. Breakfast lasts to 1000. Check out: 1000. You probably take some extra time when it’s holiday and eat breakfast a little later. Often you want to relax in the room and even brush your teeth before leaving the room. Not angry, but very very disappointed

  Good 4 star hotel

  Everything was great but I’d recommend to renew the curtains in the rooms. The ones that they have now don’t block the sunlight from outside. The charges for cars don’t work with Volvo. As I’ve noticed all of them are for Tesla.

  Nice food in a underrated place?

  If you don’t need a place to sleep, stop for a better meal at the hotel’s restaurant. Great ingredients and good composition of everything from Dexter burger/Moules fries to lunch, then beat a beat for entrecôte and piggvar for dinner. For us, the kitchen carries the place, and I hope for more people to take the time for a better dining here. Without the main guest, be it fish or meat, disappearing from the meal. With such a good kitchen, the only thing I'd like to put my finger on is carefully handling the temperature of the wine being served, as it was somewhat hot. Such a kitchen deserves that everything sits like a shot. Still, we are very pleased and extremely positively surprised by what the kitchen and staff (comfortable and welcoming) deliver. For accommodation, go for the old historic rooms above the restaurant if available. Here smells of inn and you can see traces of what the hotel was once back in time. A lot of charm. If I had owned the hotel, I would have changed flooring in the rooms (fishbone parquet or one-step gray ash) and put more old “stash” on the walls and rooms in general. Here there is a lot of soul and thoughts that “can take you back to a lost time” if you put some crowns in them. The rooms above the restaurant also match the menu composition and the scent from the restaurant fits well with the old woodwork. If something was to pull down a bit, it had to be the pop playlist in the restaurant that could have been replaced with jazz/French tones or in need of some sort of "chill out" playlist if you must appear a little conference-like or post-modern.
