  From the moment we arrived they were ready for me, assisted me with the wheelchair and made us feel welcome, up to the moment we left.

  ⚠️ Extremely Disappointing 5-Star Experience

  I chose this hotel for my destination 50th birthday celebration, booking the Rockstar Penthouse while my family and friends booked additional rooms. We were a group of approximately 30 guests. While the property looks luxurious, my experience did not feel luxurious at all. Our butler was often unavailable when we needed assistance, and the phones in the penthouse were not working. Staff came up twice to try to resolve the issue, but the problem persisted. On one occasion, it took more than two hours for room service to arrive. Unfortunately, the most upsetting part of our stay was an incident involving photography in the lobby. We were told that we could not take photographs there. I reported the incident to management because, given the circumstances, I felt that we were being treated differently because we are Black. While I was speaking with the manager, the same staff member walked past us with what I perceived as a condescending attitude. What disappointed me further was the manager's response, which was essentially to tell him not to worry and that they would speak later. We also had a very disappointing experience at the hotel's Cyra Restaurant. I want to acknowledge Stella, who was genuinely helpful and made an effort to improve our experience. She was the one person who consistently tried to make things better, and I sincerely appreciate that. I have travelled to 58 countries and have stayed at numerous five-star properties around the world. Unfortunately, this was one of my most disappointing five-star hotel experiences. For a milestone celebration that I had planned so carefully, this was incredibly disappointing. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend this hotel for a luxury celebration.

  Beautiful Hotel

  Location was amazing. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, especially the beds! Hotel was quiet and peaceful. Spent some time in the heated indoor pool which was lovely! The service was fantastic. All of the staff at reception were kind and extremely helpful especially Ronald, Owami and Mantuli!! Also the breakfast waiters at Nova Bistro were a fantastic team specifically Thabo and Lovett both of whom were extremely welcoming.
