  Absolutely loved my stay here !

  I absolutely love my stay here , it was peaceful , very relaxing! The staff went above and beyond, special mention goes to Merry in the restaurant who surprised me with an unexpected birthday treat, Dodik who welcomed us and Ronny the driver who was both knowledgeable and patient. I plan to definitely be back! Such a relaxing place ! Perfect place to celebrate my birthday!

  Peaceful private villa with outstanding staff, just a few small fixes needed

  My partner and I stayed at the Sankara Resort and Spa in Ubud in one of the private villas (BIMA), and having our own pool was a major highlight of the trip. The villa had everything we needed: the A/C worked perfectly, the bathtub was spacious and filled quickly, and waking up each morning to such a calm, secluded view made the whole stay feel peaceful and restorative. Atmosphere: This is the definition of a resort getaway, a place to unplug, recharge, and reset. Noise level: It's incredibly quiet and calming, like your own little escape from the hustle and bustle. With a private villa and pool, it almost feels like you have the place to yourself. It would also be a great spot for a business retreat. Location: The resort is about a couple of hours by car from Denpasar airport (DPS), so booking the resort's car transport service (for an additional charge) is a must. Staff: What really stood out was the hospitality. From the front desk receptionists to the restaurant servers to the resort's drivers, every person we met was attentive, accommodating, and genuinely friendly from check-in to check-out. Our drivers deserve a special mention. They were warm and easy to talk to, and they recommended excursions because they wanted us to enjoy our time in Bali, never in a way that felt like a sales pitch. Value: Prices for extras like meals at the onsite restaurant and transportation were fair and reasonable, especially for visitors from the U.S. Cleanliness: Apart from the canopy net (more on that below), the villa and the rest of the resort were clean, with no unpleasant sights or smells. Opportunities for improvement: The canopy net around the bed had several rips and tears, along with a few stains. Replacing it with a new one would make a big difference in an otherwise beautiful room. The guest WiFi worked fine on our phones for everyday use, but streaming on the TV was very poor. It buffered constantly and sometimes disconnected completely for a few minutes before reconnecting. Overall, I'd give the Sankara 4 out of 5 stars, and I would definitely recommend it as a place to stay in Ubud.
