Overview

The Taaras occupies its own stretch of white sand on Redang Island, set within the Redang Marine Park and the protected reefs that draw divers and snorkellers to the surrounding waters. Suites and cliffside villas climb the slope above the bay, some with baths that look out over rainforest or open sea, and the resort runs a PADI dive centre with access to dozens of coral sites offshore. Great Cliff View & Flawless Hospitality (Special Thanks to Nadia!)

We stayed in a cliff suite overlooking the ocean, and the view of the sea and the beach was simply breathtaking. Snorkeling right off the sandy beach was an unforgettable highlight—just swimming out into the clear water rewarded us with vibrant coral and beautiful fish. A special shout-out to Nadia, who handled our dining and activity arrangements with great advice and flawless care. Thanks to her, everything went seamlessly with zero stress. For dining, both The Cove and MareNero are definitely must-visits. My best advice if you stay at The Taaras: don't pinch pennies or hold back—just embrace the experience, treat yourself, and enjoy every moment!

Overall an unforgettable vacation on a paradisiacal beach with certain limitations.

Very positive: Brilliant location and dreamlike beach with bright white and fine sand and turquoise-blue water. Delicious, rich breakfast. Spacious, clean rooms with a comfortable bed. Somewhat negative: 1. showing its age (rooms, furnishings, beach loungers). Therefore 25% too expensive. 2. very bad for us, from 11:00 a.m. until late in the evening loud music was playing at the bar, so there is no place on the beach where you cannot hear the bass non-stop. This idyll is massively disturbed by this. We travel so far to listen to the sound of the sea, animals, and birds and only had "thump thump thump" in our ears. Very unfortunate! Hopefully booking.com will have a "no music" filter someday 3. the resort is also very quick to "have their hand out," everything... costs extra! Overall an unforgettable vacation on a paradisiacal beach with certain limitations. Particularly praiseworthy is Nadia's care for her guests. She immediately solved the small problems (fresh drinking water bottles or towels in the room, transfer to the ferry, etc.), dear Nadia, our very special thanks for this.
