  Great hotel with beautiful views

  We stayed at the Yeatman for 3 nights for my husbands birthday. I booked a superior deluxe between floors 4-7 which was a really lovely spacious room with a big balcony overlooking the duoro river. The hotel is really lovely, lots of nice restaurants and a bar onsite. We didn’t use the outdoor pool as it was raining for much of our stay but we did use the indoor pool area and spa which was lovely. The only thing I would say is the pools and Roman bath were a bit cold. The hotel is in a great location, Taylor’s is literally outside the front entrance and definitely worth a visit and world of wine and the riverside are walkable. We walked from the hotel to the ribiera once which was fairly easy for us, about 20-30 minutes but Ubers were plentiful and cheap so no issue there. Porto is a lovely city to wander around with lots to see and do. The only down side we had in the hotel was the people using their phones and tablets, or allowing their children to, on loudspeaker which ruined the ambience- this happened a couple of times and I think the hotel should have a policy on this if they don’t already. All in all it was a great trip and I would stay at the Yeatman again happily.

  Wonderful hotel with superb views

  Fantastic hotel. Superb views across the river to the bridges. The room was very well presented with a lovely comfortable king size bed and great views. Breakfasts had great choice and a live station with a chef. The pastries were fantastic. Dick’s bar is great and the espresso martinis were mixed to perfection. We used the laundry service which was incredibly quick. The spa was well worth trying out. The staff are attentive and very friendly. The atmosphere is chic and classy. The only issue I had is allowing brash kids to use speaker phones and tablets at breakfast. The world-over why are hotels (and families) allowing this type of boorish behaviour. I would highly recommend this superb hotel and we will definitely return.

  Magnificent

  PERFECTION. I have spent years staying at the best hotels in the world, and here it is - number one! I found it! We had a suite that had a huge lounge and a very large bedroom. Only what was missing was an extra restroom, which I would have expected in such a large suite. The staff were all so kind and helpful. The swimming pool has an incredible view of Porto, and frankly I could have stayed another week! The only bad thing was that our suite wasn't ready when we got there and we took another one being exhausted and not wanting to wait an hour. Why do hotels not get that check in time is so important? In addition to the suite we had three rooms for our sons, grown men, who each got their own room and that was great - they are spacious and airy and as far as I could tell, each had a fabulous view.
