  Exploring Porto

  Beautiful, calm oasis in Porto. From the minute you step into this haven, you are met by the most delicious scent, provided by the creative soap artwork. The warmth of the staff makes you feel immediately 'at home', almost a family, where nothing is too much trouble. They anticipate so well and are always available for advice or just a chat. Our bedroom had so much storage, a huge bed with great linen,a fridge, kettle and coffee machine with free coffee, teas and decanters of water, refreshed daily. Turn down service was lovely and the chocolates were a nice touch,too. Lovely, choice at breakfast and served till the very civilised time of 11 am. All in all, a wonderful, understated and friendly place to spend your time.

  Absolutely amazing experience- Service could not have been any better

  Absolutely amazing experience- the staff could not have been more fabulous or gone more out of their way for me.. I wanted to take each and every one of them home with me. Truly top top level, Service. I accidentally left my phone in the Uber, which I have never done. I travel a lot into Europe about three times a year and I have never done this in my life... had too many layers of scarf, jacket, etc.- the front desk guy helped me to contact the Uber driver and to deal with some computer things to be able to access my information on that since I didn't have my phone with me as it was in the Uber- for about two hours and we did get it back- this was at midnight after a 3 1/2 hour tasting dinner- they were just lovely... so much so that when I extended my trip after staying the rest of the time with friends in a for a birthday event I tried going back there, but as they only had the most expensive room left (royal suite) I ended up going to one of their Sister hotels, which is the next level up and I am there right now as I'm writing this and it is just as divine... upgraded and an amazingly beautiful hotel and room... I will definitely be staying with Torel again any time they are in the vicinity of a place I am visiting

  A masterclass in hospitality

  Booked for a short stay in Porto for a special occasion (wedding proposal), Torel Saboaria was a masterclass in how to do hospitality properly. The staff were exceptional - friendly, warm, welcoming, and caring - and they made sure that they peppered our stay with love. Obviously the rooms and facilities were all splendid too, and great location for all the major sights of Porto. Thanks also to Fatemeh and Elaine in the spa for wonderful massages. Hope to come back, and thanks again!
