  A relaxing week

  We had a very relaxing week at this lovely hotel. We had a welcome drink on arrival. Staff always very welcoming and polite, especially Ivana on reception who was very helpful in organising my husband's birthday room package (even though we didnt receive the wine and glasses as stated in the package which was a bit disappointing, but everything else was lovely) Staff in the dining room were very efficient. We noticed some guests had their own chilly bottles on the table so it wasnt clear whether we had to buy water or could bring our own? Dress code - even though there's a dress code stated some German guests were dining in swimwear shorts and flip-flops and this seemed to be ignored by hotel staff. Food was excellent tho desserts were very chocolate based - only alternatives were fruit or ice-cream. Entertainment and activities - very limited daytime activities and evening just duets. Sunbeds always available and housekeeping was excellent. Beach at the hotel was too rocky to swim in. No shop on site and supermarkets do not sell any medicinal products - we had to go to the nearest town of Makarska to get some medicine. One cruicial point - tho its not the fault of the hotel but TUI - as someone else has written the same about this excursion - the fish picnic to Jelsa and Bol - its WAY too long a trip - 2 hours there, 2 hours back in an extremely overcrowded, noisy boat, people rammed in and some standing with zero commentary by boat staff so we didnt know where we were moored until a card was held up telling us the time to go back to the boat , one of the stops was at Bol - 3 hours there is TOO long a stop for just a harbour and a few souvenir shops. We ate on evening at SKIF restaurant near the hotel - highly recommended. Overall, with a few tweaks this is a lovely hotel in a great location.

  Great Hotel

  Lovely hotel, clean and staff very friendly especially Nikoli and the girls in the Sunset Bar and Reception Bar, couldn't do enough for you, always smiling and chatty. Drink prices not horrendous, pleasantly surprised. We were bed and breakfast, breakfast was lovely, so much choice. Beautiful location. Few restaurants within walking distance although quite quiet as coming to end of season. Definitely recommend a visit to Makarska, 15/20 min taxi ride 38 euros each way. We hired a car for 2 days visited Split and Trogier also Cetine Canyon in Omis. We would recommend this hotel if you want a chilled, relaxing holiday.
