Disappointing stay - stay somewhere else
Our review refers exclusively to the overnight stay at the castle hotel. The room assigned to us smelled very strongly of sewage. The technician who was called in said that the maid had not flushed it enough and recommended that we place a wet rag over the drain. We moved to the neighboring room, which, however, smelled only insignificantly more pleasant. The sports show had to be skipped because the television was not working and was replaced by the technician. For dinner, I had to change clothes in the presence of the house employee who still wanted to fix the wiring behind the desk. The food at Christian Bau was fantastic. Never in our lives had we eaten so well. Back in the room, the next imposition. The sink would not drain. Even the next morning, the water was still standing in it. The shower was missing a storage tray, and here too, the water level in the shower basin rose to the overflow. We were particularly annoyed by the conversation with the hotel manager. He said that the pipes in the castle needed to be flushed out and tried to settle the matter with half a bottle of champagne. We did not feel that we were taken seriously at all. Surely many other guests will have to suffer in that "5-star hotel."
