  Worst hotel in the world!

  Absolute dump — dangerous, filthy, in a terrible area. AVOID. I honestly don’t even know where to start. This place is nothing short of disgusting. It’s not just disappointing — it’s genuinely shocking that something like this is allowed to call itself a hotel. First off, the location is awful. It’s in a run-down, neglected part of town — nothing like what was shown. The streets around are shabby, empty, and just don’t feel right at all. There’s nothing nearby worth walking to, and it’s a long, awkward ride to anywhere you’d actually want to go. As for the hotel itself? Words can barely describe how bad it is. Everywhere you turn it’s dirty, damp, and falling apart. The swimming pool was murky, green, and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months — I wouldn’t let my kids near it, let alone swim in it. The air conditioning leaked water everywhere and the whole place reeked of damp and mould — that horrible, thick, musty smell that sticks to everything. Electric sockets were hanging out of the walls, loose and dangerous — a total safety hazard. But the absolute worst part was the children’s play area. It was repulsive — covered in human waste. My kids were in there and got it all over their clothes. It’s unsanitary, unsafe, and completely beyond belief. How any hotel lets that happen is beyond me. We couldn’t stay — we packed up and left the very next day. And to make it even worse? They wouldn’t give us a single penny back. Refused point-blank. The staff were polite, I’ll give them that — but they’re stuck working in a building that’s falling apart and nobody cares about. This isn’t a hotel — it’s a disgrace. Don’t waste your money, don’t put your family through it. Go literally anywhere else.

  5-star standard unfortunately absolutely not met – uncleanliness and disappointing service

  We booked the Wanda Vista Hotel in Istanbul for 10 nights, including breakfast. For a 5-star hotel, our experiences were unfortunately extremely disappointing. Room & Inadequate cleaning: Upon arrival, the first room was extremely dirty and there was hair everywhere. The mattress was yellowed and torn in places. Only after 4 hours of back and forth did we get a new room, which was, however, also dusty. Even during the rest of the stay, the cleaning lady never cleaned the room properly: Every time, either a towel was forgotten or the glasses and cups were left dirty. Although we addressed this several times at the reception, absolutely nothing changed. Breakfast: Very limited and kept being reduced over the days. You had to ask the staff for tea varieties separately; there was hardly any selection at the buffet. In addition, ordinary dishes like a cheese omelet or menemen cost an extra surcharge. Pool & Spa: The indoor pool was unclean. There was trash, hair, and old shampoo bottles in the showers; furthermore, it smelled unpleasant. There were hardly any seating options in the pool area. Location: Poorly located. Both the Mall of Istanbul and the nearest metro station are hardly reachable on foot; you are constantly dependent on taxis. Service: The management only offered verbal apologies, a tea, and a vague discount promise for a future direct booking – for us, not an option after this experience.
