Beautiful, very clean infrastructure for a stop-and-go...

Woodford Country Club - Spacious apartment in a large facility isolated in the middle of the countryside. Admittedly, there is no breakfast or possibility of meals in this complex, which is nevertheless very pleasantly furnished. We should also highlight the possible access to an adjacent swimming pool. Very good value for money with a truly friendly welcome.

    Made our 2026 holiday memorable

We had a lovely 2 weeks at Woodford Bridge Country Club but we checked out earlier totay and I promised a member of staff that I'd give a good review. We used Woodford Bridge as a base to hop around Devon and Cornwall. Everybody at WBCC was friendly and the place was clean and tidy (corridor doors slamming was our only gripe). The apartment was a perfect size for the two us. The bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchenette/dining room had plenty of space and were clean with plenty of storage. Everything provided including plenty of towels, toilet paper, soap. I like to shower but my Wife likes to relax in a bathtub. Both were perfect (water pressure is great so the bath filed up quickly and the shower blasted water jets). We did cook a few meals and found everything we needed. Above all we were looked after by all the staff and would like to mention Scarlett at the leisure centre. Always smiling and happy. Also the young man (maintenance) that came to top up our washing up liquid and the young lady that emptied our rubbish bin one day. All of them were nice to speak to and made our holiday memorable. The ladies in the shop were nice too and we can also recommend the Devon catering van and the others (setup outside the leisure centre a few times each week. Lovely people and lovely food at very reasonable prices). The swimming pool and the air conditioned gym are excellent too (clean, safe and well maintained). We tended to go out early and return between 2 and 3 for the adult swim which was usually quiet. We did get a lot of practice playing pool (£1 per game) and there's a table tennis table with balls n bats. Giant chess, giant connect-4 as well as a bar, bingo and a magician. Also, one day there was a bouncy castle and it looked too good for kids but my Wife said I'd break it (to much sticky toffee pudding). All-in-all we had a great stay at Woodford Bridge CC and would recommend it.

    Misleading and Disappointing

BE AWARE that there is NO RESTAURANT or BAR , despite being advertised as such. ( even on the sign outside , note photo for evidence ) and apparently hasn’t offered this service for 2 - 3 years. Nearest local pub is a 3 minute drive away but sadly didn't have a table for 2 hours. Had to Drive 8.5 miles to find a pub, after travelling here to stay after a 3 Hour journey. Room is good if you want basic self catering in your bedroom. Staff patronising and seems any negative comment on here is responded with the same copy and pasted condescending response.
