  Wonderful stay!

  We really enjoyed our time at Bahia Mar! The hotel is lovely, and the staff is so kind and welcoming. We loved walking along the beach, spending time in the pool, and working out at the gym. The rooms are spacious and clean. The restaurant offers delicious meals from buffet breakfast to à la carte lunches and dinners. They take a lot of care with food allergies too. If you have the chance, we highly recommend treating yourself to a massage as well. Highly recommend staying here for a long weekend or even a whole week!

  Not for beach life

  I must premise that we only stayed 1 night and that all the staff were very kind. The garden room is spacious, well-furnished, and comfortable. The setting in which the hotel is located is very nice and the view is truly beautiful. Excellent transfer service to and from the airport. The dinner was mediocre and the menu lacked variety, the breakfast was not appropriate for a 4-star hotel. The real problem is the beach, which is not set up (there are only gazebos with 2 lounge chairs), it is dirty, and the sea is unwatchable. If one comes to Mozambique in August for beach life, they must be warned that it is cold, the water is freezing, and it gets dark at 5 PM (these are absolutely not the hotel's fault). If one, like most guests, spends their life at the pool and in the room, then they will be fine. Room cost not justifiable, hence the rating (but this is a general problem in Africa).

  Dream vacation

  Bahia Mar is the place to be in Vilankulos. Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful and comfortable facilities, right next to the beach with stunning sea views. I wish I could have stayed longer. I highly recommend it!
