Overview

Built in the shape of a traditional Tyrolean castle and set against the peaks that ring Kitzbühel, Schlosshotel Kitzbühel carries regional character into something contemporary and quietly composed. Its centre is THE SPA MOMENTUM, a wellness floor spread across 3,000 square metres, with seven saunas, a hammam, a rasul, indoor and outdoor pools, and quiet zones designed for genuine stillness. There is a fitness area too, with personal training…

Friendliness is a top priority here

Our stay at the Schlosshotel Kitzbühel was outstanding all around. The entire staff was exceptionally friendly, warm, and accommodating. You were welcomed with a smile at all times and had the feeling that every wish was anticipated before you even spoke. The breakfast as well as the dinner were excellent and offered a very large selection of fresh and high-quality food – everyone will truly find something to their taste here. The wellness area is beautifully designed and invites you to relax and feel good. Everything was very well-maintained and contributed to a relaxing stay. Many thanks to the entire team for the first-class service. We felt completely comfortable and would love to come back. Highly recommended!

    Recommended hotel

A very nice hotel, wonderfully located, rich breakfast buffet, helpful staff. Direct access to the Kaps golf course.

By no means worth 5 stars

Simply insufficient for a 5-star hotel. First problem: we booked for three people and stated our son's age as 15 years old. Paid the normal price too. We received a room with an extra bed that might have been big enough for a 5-year-old child. Now we rebooked the room for an additional charge. So that our son can sleep on a pull-out couch. Lo and behold, the room had an extra bed again (see photo)! After complaining several times, the pull-out couch was finally prepared. (We also had to call room service again so that this would be done before evening "do you really need that right now") The biggest problem: We informed the reception that we would be departing on Thursday evening instead of Friday morning (due to a funeral) - so that we could settle the bill on Thursday evening. The reception staff apparently did not understand us correctly due to language problems and simply canceled our room for Thursday (we were supposed to pay 80%) and resold it! We noticed this after the room key no longer worked after breakfast. Reception's response: "There is nothing more that can be done, we are full and you have to get out of the room!" After my wife insisted, we were able to stay in the room after all. Unfortunately, this is not how one imagines a vacation! Unfortunately never again, hotel is nice, but reception and room service were chaos from start to finish. Food was okay, but not worthy of 5 stars. Somewhat unseasoned and sometimes rather tasteless. Unfortunately, there were also a lot of blowflies at the buffet on the first day. Service was trying, but communication problems were often present here as well. A bit tedious when you are constantly being told how to leave a tip... CONCLUSION: UNFORTUNATELY NO P.S.: at the last dinner, the tiramisu was frozen rock-hard. - does not speak for the freshness and should not be standard in a 5-star hotel 😉 The bill was also naturally incorrect, and after what felt like 16 phone calls, the bill was finally in order. It felt more like an intern in a youth hostel, not the reception of a 5-star hotel.
