  Classic Serengeti Setting with Genuine Serena Hospitality

  A well sited lodge in the heart of the Serengeti, ideal for anyone wanting straightforward comfort and excellent access to the park’s wildlife. The location feels timeless, with the main accommodation buildings and public areas set to take advantage of broad views over the plains. The rooms are comfortable and uncluttered, and the main lounge and dining area provide a pleasant place to relax between drives. Photographs from the property clearly show the elevated outlook across the Serengeti, which makes early morning and late afternoon wildlife watching especially enjoyable. The lodge’s position also makes it a very convenient base for following migration movements across the park, the Serengeti being famous for that annual spectacle. Service is warm and efficient, the staff attentive without being intrusive, which makes for a relaxing stay whether you are on a short visit or a longer circuit through Tanzania. Expect early starts for game drives and a comfortable return to the lodge for a good meal and a chance to review the day’s sightings. Practicalities to note: this is a genuine Serengeti experience, so come prepared for simple, authentic bush hospitality rather than urban luxuries. For wildlife-focused travellers it is hard to beat for location and ease of access to the park’s best areas. A quietly impressive lodge, a very good choice for anyone wanting to be based in the Serengeti to enjoy big plains game and migration viewing. Highly recommended, one of the better options you will find in the park.

  Incredible sunsets and views of the Serengeti and mountain

  We spent two fantastic nights here in August as a family of four in adjoining rooms, both boasting sweeping views of the plains. Watching the sunset from the pool terrace is an absolute highlight, and spotting the local dik-diks hanging around the water added a charming touch. While the restaurant and public areas feel a bit cozy and compact, the food was genuinely good and the intricate bird nests scattered around the property are incredible. Thanks to wonderful staff and top-notch service, everything was spotless and seamless. Highly recommended for a family.

  Wonderful stay

  We spent three nights in the Serengeti on our safari as a family. The lodge is uniquely designed, like a small Maasai village in the wilderness. The rooms in the bungalows are nice, the staff is incredibly warm, the food is excellent, and the property is beautifully embedded in nature. Dik-diks and small monkeys sometimes run around the lodge, and you can see buffalo and antelopes from the terrace. Overall, a wonderful stay!
